INVOCATION

HYMN OF PRAISE
“Come and Dine”

Jesus has a table spread
Where the saints of God are fed
He invites His chosen people
Come and dine
With His manna He doth feed
And supplies our ev’ry need
O ’tis sweet to sup with Jesus all the time

Come and dine the Master calleth
Come and dine (O come and dine)
You may feast at Jesus’ table all the time
(O come and dine)
He who fed the multitude
Turned the water into wine
To the hungry calleth now
Come and dine

The disciples came to land
Thus obeying Christ’s command
For the Master called unto them
Come and dine
There they found their hearts’ desire
Bread and fish upon the fire
Thus He satisfies the hungry ev’ry time

Come and dine the Master calleth
Come and dine (O come and dine)
You may feast at Jesus’ table all the time
(O come and dine)
He who fed the multitude
Turned the water into wine
To the hungry calleth now
Come and dine

Soon the Lamb will take His bride
To be ever at His side
All the host of Heaven
Will assembled be
O ’twill be a glorious sight
All the saints in spotless white
And with Jesus they will feast eternally

Come and dine the Master calleth
Come and dine (O come and dine)
You may feast at Jesus’ table all the time
(O come and dine)
He who fed the multitude
Turned the water into wine
To the hungry calleth now
Come and dine

PRAYERS OF THE PEOPLE
From St. Paul’s Episcopal Church, Fayetteville AR, Worship Bulletin

Just and compassionate God, in Christ you have given us the true bread from heaven which gives life to the world: raise up courageous leaders among us who speak the truth in love, who empower the gifts of all people, and who create just structures for peace, healing and abundance for all.

      There is one body and one Spirit;
one God and Father of all.

Benevolent and kind God, you have given the Church gifts as apostles, prophets, evangelists, pastors and teachers to equip the saints for the work of ministry: Build up the body of Christ until all of us come to the measure of the full stature of Christ.

There is one body and one Spirit;
one God and Father of all.

PRAYER OF CONFESSION
AND RECONCILIATION

God of grace and glory,
we thank you that you judge us not
by the perfection of our actions,
but by our readiness
to live boldly by faith.
Help us, as individuals
and as a congregation,
to trust you
and follow where you lead,
t
hat in Christ
your name may be glorified
in all the earth. Amen.

WORDS OF ASSURANCE

Leader to people:
Hear the good news:
Christ died for us
while we were yet sinners;
that proves God’s love toward us.
In the name of Jesus Christ,
you are forgiven!

All to each other:
In the name of Jesus Christ,
you are forgiven!
Glory to God. Amen.
